Love these jeans in the dark denim color and lets me wear these for a fun but dressy night as well as for running errands on a weekend afternoon. Really nice feel of quality denim material. The additional pockets stay close to the pant so there's no bulkiness.

I bought a pair like this about a year ago and the material is much improved (though last year's is still great).

These jeans fit well if you need plenty of room in the hip and thigh area as I do. There is not much gapping in the waist. I didn't need to take in the waist, which I usually do. I'm not crazy about the fabric, it feels coarse and is not a true black, more dark gray, and has an odd smell. But I would still buy them again because of the fit.

I work on my home a lot, so having good carpenter pants is a must. I've never bought women's pants before, because the waist is always so tiny, and mine isn't.

These pants fit me well, and because I didn't trust them to, I ordered one size up, and could have ordered the correct size without fear. They really do have a good size chart.

These pants do all the carpenter pants functions, and did not wrinkle or shrink up terribly in the wash. Good sturdy denim, and a good denim color. Very good price, and I would happily order more.

The only issue I have with the jeans is that they can be a big more snug depending on color. The light blue and black jeans fit perfectly. The khaki and indigo jeans are a bit snug. Keep that in mind when ordering.

Also, be careful with petite. Even this I am petite, I ordered regular, because the length between the waist and crotch is a bit too snug in petite. Although, my regular jeans are a bit too long in the leg.

These are great and as I have lost weight, I have now bought 3 pair. Actually 4 because I found the petites are too short on me. If you are on the verge of being a regular length, go with the regular. These are not a true 28" inseam more like a 26 1/2. The regular length are about 28 1/2"

The waistband does wrinkle pretty bad, but i knew it would because i already have the shorts like this....i hate that the legs have no tapering at all to them...the are almost as wide as my feet are..otherwise, they were a good price and a quality product.

I bought the Jeans in Size 14W Petite (which is exactly my size). The legs fit great, the length was perfect. I am 5'1. However the waist was so tight. (It was almost like when pants shrink in the wash). I wore the pants the whole day and found that I almost couldn't breath. I believe somehow they were mis-sized because I bought these last year and they were fine. Also I bought two other pants from you (jeans and Cords) in Size 14W and they fit fine. Strange.

They were comfortable and I had no problems with them until I washed them, there was a tag attached to the jean that stated they were "pre-washed" so they had a softer feel to them, however they srunk and now they are not as comfortable as they were when I first put them on. I would buy them again but not put them in the dryer.

I love the color of these jeans (sort of an orchid). I have several shirts in this color, and it will be nice to be able to pair them up and create my very own outfits.

They do feel a tad on the small size. Had to hold my breath to zip them, but since I'm losing weight, decided to keep them.

Haven't washed them yet, so can't comment on wrinkling or even shrinkage.

I think they'll be perfect for an upcoming trip to New York for the holidays, and then on to the cool mountain air in Costa Rica.

I have the khaki and chocolate brown pants. I love them. They are a very comfortable material, thick so they wont wear out like some jeans tend to do. They fit great on my hips, butt and waste. Very flattering. I saw previous notes about being too small in the waist....these are definately made for hourglass figure. You need to have the hips and smaller waste or you may suffocate yourself or tummy bulge. They fit me wonderful!!!

the sewing is not the greatest. the rivets have popped off all on the pockets because they were NOT clamped in properly. The jeans are not to tight. there is no seam allowance to sew or repair the seams.I have had some fraying issuses also. I like the product . the fabric is cut incorrectly and prevents and kind of repairs.

I loved these jeans and the only downfall is this. I recently lost weight and was glad to fit into both the size 26 and size 24 pair. Unfortunately on neither of the jeans were the size listed. Now that I own both, I really have difficulty determining which jeans are which. Also, it made it difficult to brag to my sister that I had made it to a smaller size. Please put the actual size in the label!!

The sizing between the denim and twill was totally different. The twill were MUCH smaller and shorter. I'm hoping that since I'm on a weight loss journey that the twill will fit in a couple of months. Even though I'm only 5'2" I'm worried they will be too short after a washing although I did NOT order them in petite.

I bought these for work pants, and am pleasantly surprised by the quality of material. Compared to other twill pants I've owned, the fabric is surprisingly thick and soft. While I'm on my feet and working, it's one of the most comfortable work pants I've had. However, when break time rolls around and I get to sit down, I couldn't help but notice it would pull awkardly around the thighs on occasion. It's also somewhat difficult to get the material hair-free after your dog's been around it. Overall though, it's one of the best pairs of pants I've had, and I'll certainly get more!

Ordered these Jeans and two other items on May 7, 2008. All the products I ordered were back ordered. I received the carpenter jeans on June 5th. When I tried them on they were way too short. They had sent me petite. I called about this and sent them back on June 10th. On July 3rd. I received another package of Carpenter jeans to replace the short ones. However upon trying them on they were too short as well. I believe I received the exact same pair I returned. I am not going to send this new order back again. I will donate them to good will or give them to someone. It is not worth all this trouble. I am still waiting for one more backorder from this original order place on May 7th. Who knows when that will arrive. Maybe Christmas!!

I have large hips and thighs, compared to my waist, and these jeans are extremely comfortable and non-binding. For me to have a perfect fit, however, the waist needs to be about 2" smaller. (It would be great if you would make jeans based on a person's body shape--straight, average, or large-hipped.) I was afraid they would be too short after I washed and dried them, but was relieved to find they are pre-shrunk. I have always thought carpenter jeans are very flattering and I am very happy you sell them in such a wide range of colors. Please keep them in your catalog.

I love the style of the jeans but I found them to run short. I'm 5'6 very average I think, but when I put the jeans on I could have easily used another 2 inches on the legs to have them look normal. The're to short to wear the way they are, but I liked the way the waist and hips fit so I'm going to shorten them a little more and turn them into capri's.

The carpenter attributes (without the hammer loop) create a perfect place for cell phone when out or not carrying a purse. Lightweight Demim is very comfortable and the sizing was perfect for me as it fit at the yoke and gave plenty of room in the legs. Big drawback is that of the four pair I received, all fit slightly different. Am going to return one pair as the fit is too large even though all are same size. Apparent contradiction. Style and fit are good but if the sizing is inconsistant then "one bad apple" could spoil the positive aspects. Also, the dark denim measuring tape pocket (cell phone for me) was smaller than the medium blue.

I was very unhappy that these didn't fit. I had ordered an 18W and returned them for the same reason and then to order a 20W and have it the same. For a big woman's catalog your clothes seem to run and the small size. I guess will have to stay with the other stores I have shopped where an 18W fits just fine and has for years.

The only problem is i wish the pockets were desinged better with more demni around the top. The white sometimes show if i am bending.

I am a true size 18 for 80% of desiners out there.
These fit like a 16. Painters pant are ment to be baggy and comfortable for farm or any hard work. These fit like a very uncomfortable 16. So even
though going up a size is hatefull, i will be returning them for the next size up.

Purchased pants for myself, but ended up giving them to my Mom. Me and my mother are of equal figure except for height. I am taller than she is. I originally purchased the pants for myself, but because they were not long snough, FOR ME ANYWAY, I gave them to Mom. I would probably say that I like my pants at a longer lenghth than most. I dont like to bend over and see my socks. Other than the lenghth, the pants are great. They look as great as they did on screen and very fashionable. My mother's favorite pants, for alot of occasions.
