Because I had a bad experience with shrinkage of another all-cotton night gown, I wash this one only in cold water and let it hang to dry. I've had it for several weeks, and it's now my favorite cold-weather nightie.

This nightgown is just that - a NIGHTgown. Too long and voluminous to use as loungewear. If you are a "still" sleeper (don't move around too much) it's awesome. Warm, soft material, easy fit. If you move around a lot, you'll find yourself trapped as the gown will wrap up around your body. Not a great thing if you need to make a hurried dash for the bathroom! Still, I'm happy with this item for the most part.

I bought two of these tagless gowns, the navy blue and the red. I purchased them in medium although I normally wear large in everything from women with in. The medium was just right all over in the blue gown with extra room. The red gown fit nice on the body but the arms fit extremely tight with no extra room. I was looking for this same style night gown with short sleeves but W.W.I don't carry it, so I did my own alterations so that I would be able to wear these gowns all year round!

I recently wanted to order a second but the 2X was sold out, so I purchased a 3X in a different color. It was not even the same material nor did it have the elastic sleeves. I returned that item. Did not understand why it was different from the first.

I ordered 2 nightgowns and had one on within minutes of delivery. It's my habit to buy anything that I'd wear primarily at home, in sizes quite larger than what I actually need. This time? BIG mistake. Even the neckline was huge, and wouldn't stay on my shoulders. Sleeves were inches too long and the length was long enough that it actually caused me to trip! However, the quality was great & the style was exactly what I wanted. I'm re-ordering but... A smaller size this time!

As a single, stay at home mom - I would have worn it for "down time" (what little there is!). The material & workmanship were good, and just based on the small amount of time I wore it (less than 10 mins) I'd say it met every expectation I had. Comfortable, soft material (and no tags!). I've always purchased lounge/nightwear in sizes beyond what I actually need. Howver? This time, it didn't work out too well. Ordering a 4X (I wear medium to large) was way out there. Even the shoulders were so big, they wouldn't stay up. Needless to say... I am returning them and will reorder, at a 1 to 2X this time. Other than the size being my own fault? I really liked this item.

I love this nightgown for its simplicity. It's warm without being hot. Two issues: the first time we washed it there was some bleeding (I have red), but I fear my daughter may have used hot water. The satin trim on the sleeves does not give like the rest of the fabric - it's big enough to fit on my forearm without squeezing but I can't get my opposite hand up the sleeve if I need to itch or put lotion on my elbow. Other than that one little thing I love it!

Originally bought this item in red with snowflakes. LOVED IT... until red fabric transferred color to bed sheets. Color also stained inside of washing machine. I returned gown and exchanged for one in lavender. No problem with color transference and this is the softest, most comfortable gown I have owned in a long time. I love the fit, and everything else about it. Wish all gowns look and felt as good as this one does!

Even though I bought this as a lounger, I find it very comfortable. I like the weight of the material. The only con is the satin band on the cuff, it would keep me from sleeping in it because it seems alittle tight. Other than that I really liked it.

Most gowns are too short on me (I'm 5'6")and end up wrapped around my waist in the middle of the night. This one, however, doesn't. I love this!
The only thing that I can complain about is the ribbon on the arms. You cannot push the sleeves up because this doesn't stretch. Not a big problem, though.

I am always looking for a long nightgown with long sleeves that is not revealing and can be worn without a bathrobe in front of company. Usually the styling is atrocious or it has design elements that will bother me when I sleep. This one is perfect! Styling is simple/sleek/roomy but not at all dowdy, the fabric is thick, very comfortable, and it is unusually long - on 5'5" me it goes to my ankles. It's also reasonably priced. I love it and I'm buying more!

Because of the skewing, it drops off one shoulder when wearing. The fabric doesn't wash well....one sleeve is also twisted and they both shrunk in length. Very disappointed with this gown and waited a long time for it.

The only con I would have about this gown is the neck opening is fairly large and because of this my neck gets cold with it on. Great for cool fall or spring nights but in winter would like something that keeps the neck warm. Soft fabric, comfy, roomy, and pretty too.

The scoop neck on this gown is much broader than shown; though it runs true to size, the neckline is almost off the shoulder. I don't mind as it sometimes does go off the shoulder and this is sexy. Usually I find necklines too close to my throat, so even though it's not as pictured, I love it. But I would love it more if the fabric was a bit softer, more like the pima cotton used in my Land's End ankle length Henley nightshirt.

I have a nightgown of the same brand and really liked it, which is why I bought another. But the fabric isn't as soft and the printed label has a very bad odor. I didn't notice it when it came, but I washed it before wearing and it was very noticeable. Would have returned it but had thrown out all the packing and return label.

I was so excited about getting these gowns, but when they arrived Yikes! The neck opening was so big that it just fell off my shoulders. Very dissapointing. I even ordered a size smaller than normal because it looked so roomy in the picture. I had to pull the front of the gown together about 3 inches and sew a v-neck in it just to get it to stay up. And it wasn't just one gown, I ordered 2 gowns and both were that way. That is upsetting because now it is no longer a henley style. It was a very bad design. I will not be ordering any more of these which I did plan too. Please Woman Within, make a long lounger that is just a nice big t-shirt with a normal collar and long sleeves.

I'm enjoying this gown very much. It is one of the most comfortable I've owned and I am totally happy with the purchase. The only negative I've noticed is that some stray threads here or there are a little frayed; but they're still secure. The slight wear is more than acceptable to me as this gown is so soft and comfortable from the first wearing. I have noticed some shrinkage after washing but I haven't noticed any major changes to how the gown fits so I'd say that the size is fairly accurate even *after* washing.

The neckline is cut to low, and often slips off one shoulder or the other, which is annoying, which is a design issue as otherwise the gown fits perfectly to size. I've very sensitive skin and the armhole seams are rough, chaffing, however seems to be somewhat better with each washing. I love the pretty color and rosebud pattern, the material is soft otherwise.

Nice design. Like the pattern of stars on a red backgound. Haven't worn it yet so I don't know how it will wash. Ideal for cold nights. I just wish I could find this design in a silky material.

like it keeps its length after washing im tall not enough styles in tall sizes robes used to be 53" now there 52 .i like my night were at least to my ankles i like to see 53" back and offer tall sizes in pj's and exspecilly in skirts lenght at least 37"

This gown fit perfectly and I loved the look, but in my case anyways...I am not able to wear it:( I had it on for about an hour, and I noticed a prickly feeling around the top of my arms. It kept getting worse so I checked and my arms were all red and broken out. It seems whatever kind of thread was used to stitch around the armholes I'm allergic to. It feels like the kind of thread they sew tags in with, OUCH! lol

It's very comfortable. Not tight or restricting at all, but at the same time does not hang like it's too big. It did shrink a little bit after washing though, but not drastically.

I bought this nightgown along with the zip-up hooded sweatshirt robe to lounge around the house on cold winter nights. I LOVE the length--longer than most (shrunk a small bit in wash, so now it's an inch or so shorter) at ankle-length. Love the wide cut of the neckline also...very comfortable. The cotton washed up well with minimal shrinkage and got softer. I'm going to order more.

This nitie has become my new favorite. The best, most comfortable for sleeping in. Also great for lounging if paired with the fleece hoodie robe. I have been living in mine. Ladies, 100%cotton shrinks when not pre-washed, so expect to loose a little in length. BUT, if they took the time to pre-shrink the 100%cotton garments, we wouldn't get the same great price. I find it to be a worthy trade off, as they are not shrinking alot.
