I ordered this vest for my partner to meet a need for multiple storage compartments over on-the-job uniform dress without extra pockets. He works in a retail outlet that offers little personal storage and requires him to serve customers both inside and outdoors in all weather. This vest is just perfect, with its many pockets of different sizes, tough but quick drying non-wrinkle fabric and multiple closures. It's cool in summer and will be warming, over a jacket, in winter. He cannot say enough good things about this vest. It can definately serve more purposes than just carrying fishing gear for you!

I THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE THIS VEST TO WEAR OCCASIONALLY, BUT SO FAR I HAVE WORN IT SINCE THE PACKAGE ARRIVED. ITS GREAT WHEN IM IN THE GARDEN, ALL TYPES OF STUFF I PUT IN THE POCKETS INCLUDING CELL PHONE. IT KEEPS MY PANTS POCKETS EMPTY AND MAKES IT EASIER TO DO MY TASKS. As an engineering student, I carry all kinds of small electronic tools, change for vending machines, expensive small electronic devices, note taking tools, some snacks for long studying sessions, etc. I usually use a jacket to store some of these items, but a jacket gets hot in spring and summer. This vest is just what I need for casual campus wear and gaming wear during warm and hot seasons.

I was hoping to use this as an 'overshirt' for a teaching job- add a logo patch, wear it over my other clothes, carry supplies in the pockets... but it is not quite right for this. The collar hits 'funny', and the whole thing is kinda 'floppy' for me. Nicely made, though, and should work nicely for outdoors use.

Product is used for on and off duty wear to cover up 'law enforcement equipment'
Good basic design. Wears well so far. Easy to clean, and keeps its shape. The blends into the scenery. It doesn't call attention to you like most other vests do.
Can use a bit of refinement. A bit heavier polyester material would be good to give better support for things like the Blackberry, digital camera, and additional 'hardware' connected with the job.
The needlessly long metal zipper has sharp teeth that tangle in the material and gets in the way. A half length nylon zipper would be just about right.
After first washing, a lot of those loose polyester threads appearing out of strange parts of the vest required trimming.
Overall, though - good product.

I frequently travel internationally and many areas are considered high-risk for pick-pockets (Rome, Paris,Prague,and many others). The many inside zipper pockets make it virtually impossible for a pick-pocket to reach your cash, credit cards and passport. The vest is light weight enough to wear on the outside in warm weather or as a layer, under you coat in cooler weather.

I don't fish but this lightweight vest is perfect for concealing my legally carried handgun in the summer months--I have the talls especially for that reason. Other vests made for concealed carry are far more expensive and do no better job. The blue one is especially nice as looking "non-tactical." I don't feel like I look like I am on a stake-out all the time. This one is light enough to be comfortable even when the temperatures rise and being made of polyester doesn't look wrinkled or shabby. The many pockets are well-designed and easy to access and great for storing keys, cell phone, checkbook, and all the other gear we carry around these days.
