After I threw my back out getting it on ;) it fit wonderfully. long enough to cover most of the bad spots, cute enough not to be TOO matronly. I just feel that it needs an underwire for more 'girls' support. I'll probably tack one of my old bras (sans straps) in for anti-gravity support.

This swimdress is very long (I'm 5/8" and it goes almost to my knees). Also, the color is not a rose, as depicted, but a strong fire-engine red. Not really an empire style either--material does drop from bodice, but more on the sides than the front, giving it a baby-doll look. Nice idea, since it's NOT BLACK, and quality, but don't like the cut and am returning.

Like the length; however, could be 2" shorter which would accomplish the same thigh coverage and then look more like a swimsuit vs a dress!

Tried a smaller size, so the body portion below the bust would be smaller; but the only thing that changed was the bust (so ended up too small bust and too large lower portion).

My swim dress arrived today, and as soon as I tried it on, I knew I had to write this review. I can't believe how flattering it is! I am 6 ft tall and pear-shaped. I haven't had a swimming suit in years. This suit makes me look good and feel pretty when I wear it. I am going to forward the item to my sister, who is going on vacation with me this year. I bought the black suit; maybe she will get the red one. The length hits me mid-thigh, so it may work better for taller ladies. It might reach the knee on shorter women.

Ladies, if you are anything like me, and i have a feeling many of you are, you know the dread that comes along when it's time to find a swimsuit! normally, i would never order a suit online. Instead I'd probably spend an awful day trying them on in front of those evil 3 way mirrors but, i'm going ona rather unexpected cruise and I didnt have time to shop. I read the reviews here first. They are mostly spot on. Yes, this suit is kind of hard to get on but once you do: VAVAVOOM! Like a previous reviewer noted, my breasts do get kind of flattened if I don't position them just right. I am a 40 c and wear a 16w ... If your chest is any bigger than that you might want to size up. I should also mention that I am 511 but my torso is not especially long and I find the adjustable straps to be perfect. Fabulous material and the embroidery does not look cheap at all! The fit is gorgeous. The way skirt flares slightly under the control fabric of the breast area really accentuates by waist. all in all, this suit manages to highlight The good and hide the yucky! i want it in more colors! I have the black will get the red and hopefully JL will make more colors.

I love this swimdress. It is just what I wanted, so much so I ordered another in red today. The length and style are perfect for covering up imperfections. I wear between a size 16 & 18 but I always go larger in a swimwear. Size 20 is a perfect fit for me with this swimdress. I am about 5'6'' and 230lbs.

Where do I start! I love this swimsuit! Is is stylish, well-made, beautiful. When I received this swimsuit & tried it on, I ran around the house in it all afternoon. If you are on the plus side & full in the hips, this suit is great! The length is nice & long to cover up your imperfections & ( my) not so youth legs anymore. The straps are very sturdy & the embroidered/scalloped edge is such a nice touch! The only thing I would change about this suit is, for heavier busted women, as myself, I wish it had an under-wire bra lining. I have a thin strapped black bra that I wear under it for better support and it works! I bought this suit when it was on sale, so it was even better! Love it! Love it! Love it!
